Frank H. Smiley, Jr.

Frank H. Smiley, Jr., 67, of East Stroudsburg, died Friday morning, January 4th, while at home under hospice care. He was the husband of Sharon G. (Butz) Smiley with whom he shared 43 years of marriage on August 30th.

Born on October 5, 1945, in East Stroudsburg, he was the son of the late Frank H. Sr. and Ethel (Heller) Smiley and the late Dorothy and Elwood Heller.

He was a lifetime resident of Monroe County and worked for A.W. Zacharias Masonary Supplies in East Stroudsburg.

Frank was a member of the Acme Hose Co. #1 - East Stroudsburg Fire Company for ten years.

In addition to his wife he is survived by: three sons, David Smiley and Linda, Kevin Smiley and Yelary Moronta and Chad Smiley and Carianne all of East Stroudsburg; a daughter, Lisa Brothers and Robert of East Stroudsburg; eight grandchildren, Jessica Brothers, Breanne Brothers, Isaiah Smiley, Leyla Smiley, Joelle Smiley, Jessica Rice, Dennis Rocher and John Murphy; a great grandchild, Adriannah Rice; two sisters, Nettie Martling of Pittsburgh, Rhoda LaBar of Arizona; a brother, Paul Allen of Stroudsburg and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by six siblings, Elsie Heller, Lewis Heller, Kenneth Smiley, Margaret Mosteller, Frank Reed and Jack Heller.

There will be a viewing from 5:00 to 7:00PM Tuesday, January 8, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. The funeral service will begin at 7:00PM Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Jay Hess officiating. Private cremation will take place following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial remembrances be made to Acme Hose Company #1 - East Stroudsburg Fire Dept., 380 Chestnut Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301.
