Charles A. Rinker

Charles A. "Chub" Rinker, 64, of Henryville, died Wednesday, July 18, at home. He was the husband of Mary E. (Klinger) Rinker, with whom he shared 44 years of marriage.

Born on September 10, 1947 in Stroudsburg, he was the son of the late Raymond and Miriam (Ace) Rinker and was a lifetime resident of Monroe County.

He was a custodian for the Pocono Mountain School District.

Chub was a member of the Thomas P. Lambert Post 2540 VFW in East Stroudsburg. He was also a passionate Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State fan and was an avid outdoorsman and gardener.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Fay Opshinsky and her husband, Rick of Cresco, Tara Rinker and her fiance, Ryan Long of Cresco and Leah Rinker and her fiance, Dino Madjid of Henryville; three grandchildren, Emily Opshinsky of Cresco, Aidan Rinker of Henryville and Kylee Rinker of Henryville; two sisters, Miriam Decker and her husband John Yazel of Belleview, FL and Charlotte Carrato of Ocklawaha, FL; a brother, Ray Rinker of Greenville, SC and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sarae Rinker on November 19, 2005.

There will be a viewing from 9:30 to 11:00AM Monday, July 23, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. The funeral service will begin at 11:00AM Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Gail H. Kees officiating.

The family requests that memorial remembrances be made to the American Red Cross - Monroe County Chapter, 322 Park Avenue, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
