Robert K. Herman

U.S. Veteran

Robert K. Herman, 71, of Stroud Township, passed away on Sunday, July 1, in the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Mary Anne Pearl (Dowell) Herman with whom he had shared 38 years of marriage on June 27, 2012.

Born on November 6, 1940 in East Stroudsburg, he was the son of the late Raymond and Anna Marie (McClintock) Herman and had lived in Monroe County all of his life. He was a printer having worked at Hughes Printing for many years.

A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served in the United States Navy.

He was a member of the Thomas P. Lambert Post 2540 Veterans of Foreign Wars, East Stroudsburg and the George N. Kemp Post 346 American Legion , East Stroudsburg.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Troy Smith and his wife, Rosemarie of Pen Argyl, Todd Herman and his wife, Roberta of Long Beach, CA and Katrina Herman of Moab, Utah; four grandchildren, Alec, Jake, Ty and Lindsey; a sister, Charlotte Miller and her husband, Bill of St. Augustine, FL; a sister-in-law, Ellie Herman of Jacksonville, NC; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Herman.

There will be a viewing on Friday, July 6 from 1:00PM to 2:00PM followed by funeral services with military honors at 2:00PM at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg with the Rev. Lynn Lesoine officiating.

Memorial remembrances may be made to the Trinity Baptist Church, 803 White Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
