Rosemarie Weiss, 54, of East Stroudsburg, died Wednesday, June 27, at home. She was the wife of Carl Allen Weiss with whom she shared 34 years of marriage.
Born on July 24, 1957 in Perth Amboy, NJ, she was the daughter of Martha (Billy) Siegfried of East Stroudsburg and the late Charles Hartman, Sr..
She lived in Monroe County since 1969 and was a cook at Stroud Manor (now Golden Living Center) in East Stroudsburg for 37 years.
Rosemarie was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1336 and the George N. Kemp Post 346 American Legion both in East Stroudsburg.
She loved to cook and loved her family being especially dedicated to her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and mother she is survived by: two daughters, Jennifer Stirone of New Berlin, NY and Amanda Steuer and her husband Nakomah of East Stroudsburg; six grandchildren, Nicholas Stirone, Christopher Stirone, Payton Stirone, Mia Stirone, Mackenzie Steuer and Anola Steuer; three sisters, Martha Ann Smith of Manalapan, NJ, Nancy Decker of Wind Gap and Barbara Jean Lawrence and her husband Joseph of South Toms River, NJ; a brother, Charles Hartman, Jr. of Valentine, NE; eight brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed Bigger, Barbara Jean Kresge and her husband Randy Scott of East Stroudsburg, John F. Weiss III and his wife Nancy of North Carolina, Judy L. Klinger and her husband John R. of East Stroudsburg, Deborah Bergy of Tannersville, Robert Wayne Weiss of Tannersville, Rodger Wayne Weiss of Tannersville and Troy Allen Weiss of South New Berlin, NY and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Hartman Traz and a sister-in-law, Joan A. Bigger.
There will be a memorial service at 9:30AM Sunday, July 1, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 139 Craigs Meadow Road, East Stroudsburg with the Rev. John Harding officiating. Private cremation took place and there will be no viewing.
