Janice M. Pope, 69, of Saylorsburg, died Friday, June 22, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown.

Born on June 27, 1942 in East Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late Mary Ellen (Marsh) Pope and was a lifetime resident of Monroe County.

She worked for BeauFab Mills for seventeen years and then for Alumitek for eight years until they closed.

Janice loved to read books.

Surviving are a daughter, Denice Melchor of Saylorsburg; four step-children, Carla Amos, Chaunee Baker and Michael Ingalls all of New Port, NH and Tina LaClair of Charlestown, NH; four grandchildren, Kevin Hayes, Damian Perkins, Randy Perkins and Kayla Melchor and two great grandchildren, Daniella Hayes and Crystal Rose Perkins.

There will be a memorial service beginning at 2:00PM Wednesday, June 27, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. Private cremation will take place at the H.G. Smith Crematory in Stroudsburg. There will be no viewing.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial remembrances be made to the Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church, 915 North Fifth Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
