Nellie Aneda Lee

Nellie Aneda Lee, 88, of Stroudsburg, died Sunday morning, June 12th . She was the wife of the late William H. Lee with whom she had shared 49 years of marriage until his death on March 6, 1992.

Nellie was born on December 17, 1922 in East Stroudsburg, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Anero) Aneda. A graduate of East Stroudsburg High School and Churchman's Business School in Easton, she worked for Dr. John L. Rumsey and was an active member of the East Stroudsburg United Methodist Church.

She was a life long resident of Stroudsburg and lived with her family on Green Street.

She is survived by her two sons, Robert T. Lee and his wife, Alma Lee of Beaver Falls and William Harry Lee, Jr. and his wife, Mary of Stroudsburg; a grandson, Phillip Lee of Austin, TX; two granddaughters, Martha Lee Sullivan and her husband, Kevin of Hellertown and Rebecca Lee Ford and her husband, Kenneth of Goose Creek, SC; ; four great grandchildren, Michael William and Patrick John Sullivan of Hellertown and Mackenzie Louise and Rachel Patricia Ford of Goose Creek, SC; a sister, Margaret Aneda Forry of Stroudsburg; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Harry Lee, Sr. and siblings, Joseph Aneda, Ann Fable, Mary Butts, Madelyn Aneda, Charles Aneda and Josephine Shannon.

There will be a viewing on Wednesday, June 15th from 10:00AM until 11:00AM followed by funeral services at 11:00AM in the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg with the Rev. Dr. Edward Kimes officiating. Burial will follow at the Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the East Stroudsburg United Methodist Church, 83 South Courtland Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301 or to Pleasant Valley Manor, 4227 Manor Drive, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
